Hi everyone hope you are all well I have not been well for some time and I think it all has to do with my situation at present. My son has fallen out with me and has had another son 8 weeks ago that I have never seen.He also has another son that I was involved in for three years and that also has been taken away from me.On the other hand his son from an early relationship is now coming up to fourteen and has spent the last three days here with me and his grandpaps we love him to bits and he is very comfortable here and comes almost every weekend. He is always welcome. The thing is that my heart is hurting so much for my son I miss him so much and cannot understand .I know he has to stand by his partner but at what stage should he have made a stand and entiled his children to still have contact with us.I fought tooth and mouth with my son for contact with our eldest grandchild and he knows how hard it was.Now he is doing exactly the same to me its so sad because I know its hurting him as much as me not being in contact with each other we have always been Huh very close.

Hi Mags

I'm sorry you are hurting so much, I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling having no contact with your son and grandchildren.

So many people have problems within their family including me.

I only hope for your sake it can be resolved in the future.

Hello Mags

Gosh no wonder that you are feeling unwell. I do so feel for you how awful to have a big fall out like
that.

I hope things sort out soon

Oh Mags! So sorry you are having such an awful time. It is bad enough having RA without all your added stress with the family. I hope things get better for you. In my prayers.

mags- re shopping!

shop on line and they bring it in your kitchen

How awful with the family issues- must be very upsetting.

One of my relatives is estranged from our family and certain people have never dealt with this fully and constantly dwell on it, but ultimately you have to let them go and make their own (In my view selfish) choices.

I'm afraid some of our family havent been the most helpful at times. I dont have my children doing it as I now have direct payments from the local council. You are also entitled to an assessment of need from them. My husband does do some of my care things at nights etc and so he is entitled to a carers assessment actually. I have posted a link about the princess royal trust that also may help you.

the council will not mind if you get DLA or what rate. only your need. If you cannot face ringing them up (which is very understandable in the current circumstances!)- try the local disability advocacy people who will hand hold throughout.
